Self Motivation: Four Sure-Fire Ways To Get Your Creative Juices Flowing

Self Motivation - Many people seem to have the misconception that only a select few are able to unleash a steady flow of creativity. Nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, creativity is very similar to a muscle that needs to be exercised in order to consistently give great results.

If you don't practice creative thinking, this skill will very likely wither into non-existence. So how do you unleash your creative thinking? Well, here are four ways to unleash your creative juices flowing within you:

1. Become a human sponge. Creativity breeds creativity, so you should take in as much - and varied - knowledge as you possibly can. Read everything available -- good and bad, and keep your mind open to the infinite possibilities of the universe. The more you know, the more you'll want to know, and the more your faculty of wonder will be exercised. Prepare to be amazed at little facts that seem to pop up out of nowhere and seem to take a life of their own.

2. Focus on a creative activity everyday. It doesn't have to be anything extraordinary. Even doodling is a creative activity. Don't let anything hinder you. Practice drawing for a couple of minutes each day. Bring out your old camera and start snapping photos like crazy. Keep a journal and make a point to write in it religiously.

Who knows, you might actually take to liking those things you do everyday.Pretty soon those things will become a part of you and you'll be addicted to these exercises.

3. Don't be afraid to think out of the box. Being creative means being different. And being different can be very scary. When you think outside the box, you're in new territory that you're unfemiliar with. But just remember, so was every other explorer who's now known throughout the world.

4. Try something different every day or two, and let your experiences broaden your perspective. Explore a new district in your neighborhood. Spend an afternoon in a museum you've never been to before. Open up to the people around you. As you reach out of your comfort zone more and more each day, your sense of adventure will grow.

Think about it. When was the last time you did something for the first time? It's probably been a while. If so, then you've been missing out on a whole lot of experiences that could have added to your mental and spiritual growth.

Why don't you try bungee jumping today? Not only will you learn, but you will also have some unique stories to share, enabling you to practice your storytelling skills and making you the life of the party.

Whatever you do, always remember to think beyond your "limits." If you follow these four steps pretty soon you'll be living a life full others look at with envy. Unleashing your creative thinking will bring about a new zest for life.

Self Motivation: Change will Occur With Or Without You

Self Motivation : What do frogs have to do with self motivation and personal development?

Here's an old school science experiment for you. Take two frogs, two pans of water, and two burners. Now. let the first pan of water come to a boil then try placing the first frog intothe boiling water. What happens? He will hop out very quickly, of course. Why? Because he is not able to tolerate the sudden change in his environment, going from room temperature to the boilingwater so quickly.

Now. take the second pot of water, set it on the burner and let it just get a little luke warm. Nowplace the second frog in the lukewarm water. Let the water continue to get hot. The frog will stay in the boiling water longer than the first one did. Why is that? Because the change wasn't as drastic so was able to get used to the change in temperature quicker.

Your personal life is much the same way. You may have reached a point in your life when you are ready for change and are willing to put forth the effort to make that change happen. But it's usually the sudden shifts in your "climate", the drastic upheavels, that let you know there's a problem and it's time to try something different.

the slower changes aren't as noticable, and is one reason why you are usually able to stay in a painful situation longer than you should. Like the second frog, you don't realize the water's getting hotter until it's boiling over.

When it comes to changing a situation you are in, pain is a great motivator. You finally see the warning signs when things get too rough to handle any longer. For instance, when do you usually realize that you need to go on a diet? When none of your clothes fit you any longer. Or when do you realize that you should quit smoking? When you can't walk a block without struggling for breath.

The only time most of us ever attempt self motivation is when the whole world is crashing downaround us. The biggest reason you don't like to change is because it can be very painful at times. But the truth is that change is even more painful when you choose to ignore it.

Change will happen, like it or not. Throughout your lifetime, you are going to experience different turning points and change is going to occur, whether for the better or worse, whether you want to admit it or not.

So if change is going to occur anyway, wouldn't it be better to change because you want to instead of because you have to? Rather than waiting for the climatic disaster to hit, keep your eye out for the small details that are telling you that change is getting ready to happen.

For instance, if you notice that you are spending more money each week than you can reasonably afford, start working on managing your money better and quit spending so much on frivilous items. Don't wait until your car is repossessed or your lights are turned off.

Don't be like the frog who didn't realize change was happening until he got burnt.Change is goingto occur, whether you like it or not, so take control of your life, practice some self motivation and make the changes happen that you want to happen.

Self Motivation And Your Personal Vision - An Unbeatable Force

Self Motivation can take you far, but it can take you even further if you first find your vision. Your vision will motivate and guide you on your journey to success and personal fullfillment. Trying to succeed at anything without first having a clear vision of what it is you want to accomplish will only lead to you going around in circles and eventually giving up in frustration.

To develop your vision, you must look inside yourself. Vision comes from within, from the spirit or subconscious, whatever you choose to call it. Every one has a vision that is uniquely their own, and you are no different. the hard part comes in understanding your personal vision and how it applies to your personal self motivation plan.

Your vision will most likely not come suddenly like some bolt of lightning out of the sky. Instead, it will grow from your experiences, talents, dreams, and desires, so don't try to rush it. Instead, keep your motivation and allow your vision to reveal itself through you.

Here are five steps you can use to effectively find your vision:

1. Learn to listen to your inner voice. Since your vision starts from inside you, you should learn to listen and feel what your mind and heart truly desire. What stirs you? What is your greatest desire? What kind of dreams do you have? If what you think you want does not really come from the inner depths of your heart and soul, then you will find it difficult, if not impossible, to not give up before you achieve it.

2. Prepare yourself mentally. Your vision begins in your mind and heart. It is something that burns within your soul. it should be greater than your all of your past memories, mistakes, and accomplishments. If you know what your vision is, you will have a purpose and won't get lost on your journey. Discouragement is the outcome of not having a ditinct vision. If you don't know where you're going or how to get there, the journey will seem a lot longer and harder.

In order to seek your vision, retreat to a quiet and tranquil place, a place that will allow your mind to think creatively and concentrate on your vision.

3. Seek out other motivated vision seekers. Greatness breeds greatness, and it is for this reason that you should seek out the company of otherswho can appreciate and support your vision. Hang with the winners andit will keep your self motivation high.

4. Keep a notebook and pen handy. All too often, when seeking a vision, you never know when your vision is going to come to fruition, so keep a small notebook with you at all times, even on your nightstand when you sleep, and write down whatever comes to mind, no matter how silly it seems at the time. You may write down a hundred crazy ideas but number one hundred and one just might be the vision you were searching for. Don't try to edit right now, just write down everything that comes to mind.

5. Don't try to fully understand your vision. The vision you are seeking will most likely come to you in ways that you won't fully understand at the moment. That's okay. Just follow as much of your vision as you can right now, and more will be revealed to you as time goes on.

All truly successful people have a vision that they follow, nomatter what challenges they may face, to it's eventual outcome. Beginfollowing the above steps to seek your vision today and remember that true, lasting success will never come to you until you know what your vision is and how you will follow it. And you will be unstoppable if you combine your personal vision with a healthy dose of self motivation.
